Bollywood has found a saviour in the form of Ajay Devgn-Tabu’s recently released Drishyam 2. The film is racing ahead to the effect of a raging bull. Drishyam 2 Box Office Collection: Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna’s film is unstoppable at the ticket windows. Within seven days in the theatres, the film crossed the Rs 100-crore mark and continues to enjoy the dream run. Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, ‘Drishyam 2’ scored Rs 104 crore nett at the end of its first week.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the film’s collection of the past week and called it a “terrific weekend”. He wrote, “Drishyam 2 is 100 NOT OUT… Packs a solid score in Week 1… terrific weekend, and super-strong weekdays… All eyes are on Weekend 2… Fri 15.38 cr, Sat 21.59 cr, Sun 27.17 cr, Mon 11.87 cr, Tue 10.48 cr, Wed 9.55 cr, Thu 8.62 cr. Total: ₹ 104.66 cr. India business.”
According to Shriya, the magic of Drishyam 2 lies in its gripping screenplay and that’s what, she believes, is leaving the audience impressed. “Abhishek has done a great job. The treatment is really amazing. It’s written really well, including my character Nandini. I truly enjoyed playing her (again). The dialogues helped me perform better. I really want more and more people to go watch it,” she asserts.
After Drishyam 2’s success at Box Office, Ajay Devgn visited Kashi Vishwanath temple to seek blessings. He shared a picture from his puja at the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi and expressed, “Been waiting for this for a very long time!”
Director Abhishek Pathak’s Drishyam 2 is making waves at the box office. After earning Rs 96.04 crore within six days of release, the film has now entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club. Its total collection now stands at Rs 104.66 cr. With this, the Ajay Devgn-starrer has found a spot on the list of the top five earners of the year 2022 in Hindi cinema. Gangubai Kathiawadi earned Rs 129.1 crore, The Kashmir Files ended its run in the theaters with Rs 252.9 crore, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 collected Rs 185.92 crore, and Bhramastra minted Rs 257.44 crore.
